More than five years ago, I left my home country and came to the united states to continue my graduate studies... It was a hard decision at the time... I still remember.. how lonely and sad I felt after few days of arriving here in Colorado.... Well, after few years... you just get used of being away.. and to have connection with your beloved family and friends via the wires...not that you like it but you simply become more realistic…you will learn by the long term… how precious moments you missed, without telling them how much they mean to you…

There are a lot of obstacles you have to overcome in order to survive this new culture and people.. One thing I learn is that I am the one who should make the first step... I chose not to be isolated and to take the outmost of this life experience.. so I joined several social groups, societies and organizations… and day by day I become an active member… I did that because I want to know how the American think and what motivate them… In return they can see that, we are as muslim middle eastern females are not prisoners and we have souls and brains …

I am writing this not to talk about my self… but simply, I thought that through this small window, we could thinks of ways to make our staying here in a western country, and dealing with multi nationalities from all over the world a great experience and a chance to make a difference in human life..So it’s a call for everyone to help me to be a better example of an eastern lady…

Dear Salah;
I always tracking your insights. I like that eventhough you have ton's of things to do while staying in Japan, You still hold the love of your people and country inside you, and you keep thinking of ways to make the difference. I know down deep in my heart that our region has amazing people who will lead the change that our nation needs. Keep on the good work.
